CLAIMS INFORMATION

Here at Viera Insurance Agency, we want to make sure you have the information you need to protect your family and your home. Our office will be open as long as it remains safe to continue to operate. If our office needs to close, we will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

We will respond to any messages and be available to assist in filing claims as soon as possible. If you are in need of claims assistance while our office is closed, your carrier claims assistance numbers are listed below, and more claims information is also available on your carriers website. We advise filing claims online if possible, especially since many of the carriers phone lines will be busy.

Steps To Take After A Loss

If a home is habitable and the area is not under evacuation orders, the following steps will expedite the claims process:

Repair

Complete any necessary temporary or emergency repairs to the covered property to prevent further damage from occurring.

Take Photos

Take photos to document the damaged property and keep any damaged items in a safe location so the adjuster can complete an inspection of those items.

List Damaged Items

Prepare a list of all damaged and destroyed items and their estimated values.

Keep All Receipts

Keep all receipts for any repairs or additional living costs incurred as a result of the hurricane and provide them to the adjuster for consideration.
